Miss Train and I decided that we needed a sugar hit and was banking on Matcha Mylkbar but since it was super full (it was a one hour wait? OH EM GEE!!), we decided to walk around St Kilda and see where we could drop by. Eventually we got tired of walking and ended up at Veludo (it was also in the Entertainment Book, SCORE!). So we plopped out tooshies down and looked over the menu.
Mahn Doo, Melbourne
The baby triplets have been wanting to go on a date with Mr D and myself and finally we were all free for it (YAYERS!). The girlies of course adored Korean food and I wanted to check out Mahn Doo since we’ve always parked next to it and have never gone inside. So this time, we’re heading into Mahn Doo.
Sezar Take 2, Melbourne
It was Mr Burberry and Miss Teeth’s birthday bash and they chose to head on down to Sezar for some Armenian food. I decided to let Mr D take the lead and try to find the place and he spotted the bike which eventually led him to the restaurant.
Carnegie Korean BBQ, Carnegie
One of my work mate has never tried korean BBQ and we decided to all take him (road trip…not really!). Miss Mousey chose the place and it was all the way in Carnegie – Korean BBQ. She made a booking and in we went.
Tetsujin, Melbourne (Melbourne Central)
It was time to grab dinner with Miss Pandan and since she absolutely adores Japanese cuisine, we decided to check out the sushi train at Tetsujin at the Emporium.
Palinka, Fitzroy
Palinka is a 7 month old eastern european tapas inspired eatery located in the hustle and bustle on Brunswick street in Fitzroy. Palinka is a traditional fruit brandy invented in the middle ages where they are distilled and bottled in Hungary and four provinces in Austria. Named after a fruit brandy, you gotta expect big things from them.
Little Oscar, Brunswick East
The newest bad boys in town – Little Oscar and they’re doing korean influenced american burgers (what??!!) and have been opened for 2 months (still babies!) in Brunswick. We were greeted very warmly by the staff and was shown to our table. They had a lot going on with ropes being part of the decor which I thought was pretty cool. They also have a live DJ and music so you know this place will be pumping!
The Food Truck Park Relaunch, Preston
The Food Truck Park has landed permanently at Preston re-lauching on Friday 12th February from 5PM – 10PM and then opening weekly from 12PM-10PM Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Basically, it’s a permanent spot where various food trucks from burgers to desserts are there to serve for your eating pleasure. I was invited by AMFVG to attend the opening and all opinions expressed are my own.
Motorhome Majestic Launch, Ascot Vale
Motorhome majestic is the new American burger joint (Yep! Welcome to Melbourne guys) but with ribs and wings (oooh la la so fancy) and is the baby brother to Grand Trailer Park Taverna and Werribee’s Truck Stop Deluxe. I was invited by Motorhome Majestic and Zilla and Brooks Publicity and Production to their launch and all opinions expressed are my own.
Gurkhas, Brunswick
My workmate has been going on and on about Gurkhas and when Groupon had a deal, he made sure I got it. I got the banquet for 4 for $50 (usually for the simple feast, it was $24.50 per head) and made a booking for a Saturday night since we were in the partying mood.
