The Food Truck Park has landed permanently at Preston re-lauching on Friday 12th February from 5PM – 10PM and then opening weekly from 12PM-10PM Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Basically, it’s a permanent spot where various food trucks from burgers to desserts are there to serve for your eating pleasure. I was invited by AMFVG to attend the opening and all opinions expressed are my own.
There were plenty of space outdoors if you wanted a seat/booth/chairs but it does fill up fast.
If you can’t find any seating outdoors, don’t fret, there’s also indoors (yay for those who hate the sun and the wilderness) which is where the DJ is at YO!
By now both Miss Teeth and I were super duper hungry and we opted to sharing some dishes. I got the seasoned potato wedges with sauteed chorizo, ranch and cheddar sauce. Now, I’m not a fan of wedges (I’d much prefer chippies instead) but I really REALLY wanted the chorizo and sauces. The sauces were AWESOME. The wedges were very potato-y.
Miss Teeth was eyeing off the spicy buffalo wings with blue cheese suace from those guys’ food. These wings were MEGA FIREBALL SPICY and I couldn’t handle them at all. I LOVED the blue cheese sauce though. Miss Teeth were feeling average towards them though which was a shame.
We couldn’t leave without dessert once again so I got lemon and sugar crepes with a dollop (yes a single dollop) of vanilla ice cream and I LOVED IT! So soft and fluffy and even better, they were owned by people who were french and spoke french (the real deal!).
Miss Teeth LOVES jam donuts and she got them but she was quite disappointed (I forgot which truck she went to). The donut was only filled smack bang in the middle and it took 3 bites before you would even reach it.
If you need a place to meet up with the boys/girls or bring a date to, drop by here for a casual food scene with pumping music to get the party started.
