There’s a new burger eatery in town and it’s tucked away in Rosanna, an up and coming suburb which means this place will also be up and coming too. Nestled away from the main streets sits Sideshow Burgers, the new boys in town.
Stepping inside, the venue itself is quite small but that doesn’t mean the decor wasn’t loud and lively. The toilets are located out the back so be sure to consider the residents when you gotta go do your business. Speaking of business, lets get down to the food.
I could never say no to onion rings and how were the ones at Sideshow burgers you may ask? Yes they were crunchy, yes they were onion-y but i found that they were missing a touch of seasoning.
Onion rings – $6
Now, a burger place must have great chippies because burgers and chippies always go together. Well, boys and girlies, the chippies here do not disappoint. The chippies are crunchy with great seasoning. The loaded fries (carnival) were just oozing with flavour.
(L): Chips – $5.50
(R): Carnival – $8
Loaded fries, siriracha mayo, green onion, furikake
+bacon & jalapenos – $2
I got the sideshow burger and replaced the onion with onion rings. The beef was oh so juicy and the flavour was great. However, I did find it a touch too dry, so perhaps it needed a touch more sauce and the buns were quite hard and too crunchy for my liking. Other than that, I absolutely loved it.
Sideshow – $10
Beef, cheese, lettuce, pickle, mustard, kewpie mayo, ketchup, onion
One of the fellas got the strong man with the addition of onion rings and he absolutely smashed it. It was juicy, if was flavoursome and it was GINORMOUS. He absolutely thought it was awesome sauce.
Strong man – $15
Double beef, bacon & cheese, lettuce, tomato, mustard, pickle, ketchup, kewpie mayo, onion
+ onion rings – $2
What else can go well with burgers and chippies? Milk shakes of course. The salted caramel shake came with whip cream and it was quite sweet. I prefer thick shakes which are a touch more thicker but if you’re not a sweet tooth, steer away from this.
Salted Caramel Shake – $6.50
Sideshow burgers has juicy burgers and definitely check out their chippies because they are to die for. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, the price is reasonable and is a great place to catch up with your mates.
