Lux Foundry, known for their brunches and coffees and always super busy in Brunswick. The venue itself is large warehouse space and it looks oh so rustic. It’s been a few years since I was here last and I’ve always had an itching to revisit. This time around I brought Mr D and we found plenty of parking around the corner and it was free too (SCORE!).
Mr D got a latte and I got a chai latte to start off our Sunday late lunch.The coffee was great and it definitely hit Mr D’s caffeine sweet spot. Everyone loves a good coffee and Lux Foundry definitely serves up that. The chai latte, on the other hand, wasn’t very chai-y which was a shame.

The Singapore Blue Swimmer Crab chili scrambled was delish. It was a touch on the spicy side but it was bursting with Asian flavours! The grilled prawn was perfect and was saaaah good.

The pork belly bao was a pleasant surprise. The baos were soft and fluffy AND the pork belly had some awesome flavour. The pork belly itself though was a touch on the dry side.

We ended the lunch with the brioche French Toast. It was served with orange mascarpone, fresh berries, citrus poached pear and salted caramel sauce. This dish had the perfect amount of sweetness for me but Mr D thought it was way too sweet (what does he know anyway?!). Loved the poached pear but it was served cold which confuzzled me a bit, think I would have preferred it to be warmed up. The overall dish was awesome but it was a touch on the dry side which was a shame.

Lux Foundry has friendly and attentive staff, great coffees and is awesome in the brunch game. We will definitely be back and check out the rest of the menu.
