A catch up to organise our next holiday means brunching in the city on a Saturday morning! We initially wanted to go to Bricklane but due to it’s long queue, we opted for Krimper since Mr Burberry has already been and it wasn’t going to take 30 mins to get in and it was literally 2 secs further down the alleyway. It was oh so roomy inside and the staff were very polite when showing us our table.
To start off the morning, I got a soy latte and it was pretty damn good. It gave me the caffeine hit that I needed.
Soy Latte – $4.20
I got the sweet corn fritters and found it to be a touch oily. The flavour of the fritters were amazing and needed more salsa. The poached egg was egg-licious and the yolk just oozed out.
Sweet Corn Fritters – $17
Poached egg, cherry tomato salsa, labne
Mr Burberry got the brekkie platter which was loaded with so many things. He quite enjoyed it and wasn’t able to finish it.
The Brekkie Platter – $22
Poached eggs, bacon mushroom, avocado, roasted tomatoes, goat cheese with sourdough toast
Ms Teeth got the smashed avo and again, she enjoyed her dish too. All the flavours went well together and she finished it!
Smashed Avo – $18
Poached egg, buffalo mozzarella, confit cherry tomatoes, pumpkin seed, pesto with multigrain
Krimper is a great place for a casual catch up over some great coffee (they only charged me an extra 20c for soy!! SO CHEAP!). The food was pretty good too and the prices are regular brunch prices. Lots of seating so there’s a high chance that you won’t have to wait long either.
