While walking around Venice we walked by a cute pizza shop that had pizzas displayed out in the front.
FRANCE: Benoit, Paris
I’ve always wanted to go to a Michelin Starred restaurant and as we were in Paris, Mr D found one for me, Benoit. Benoit is a one starred restaurant is one of many restaurants by Alaine Ducasse. Mr D picked Benoit because it has been around for over 100 years and it was ADORABLE (that probably wasn’t a reason why Mr D picked it though…). He made a booking months prior via email and he had to confirm the booking 24 hours before our reservation.
FRANCE: Ristorante Del Arte, Paris (centre Commercial Val d’Europe)
Mr D’s fam bam decided to drop by and have lunch with us after we shopped and they decided on Ristorante Del Arte to prepare us for Italy.
Treviet, Sunshine
My workmates decide to take me out for lunch since it was my last day of work before I jetset off to Europe (WOOOHOOO!!!) and we chose Treviet since it was 10mins walk.
It’s located right next to Harvey Norman and right opposite to Bunnings. We got there at 2:30PM (yep, late lunch…I was STARVING!) and there was hardly anyone in sight.
The Post Hotel, St Kilda
The Post Hotel in St Kilda has been around for a while (140 years to be exact) and with the new owners on board, it has been revamped. Old looking pub on the outside, modern and stylish on the inside. The chef is from a hatted restaurant (Longrain) and most of the dishes had an asian influence to it.
Pho Hung Vuong, Springvale
Mr D decided to take me down to Springvale to show me his fav pho joint, he just called it the chicken and cow place since they use to have the animals in the signs. Now they changed it to just the writing in Vietnamese (bonus points for me being able to read it!)
Operator 25, Melbourne
Brunch catch up with Miss Pear and her friend was due and I got to pick and BAM Operator 25. I got there early with Mr D just before 12PM on a sunday (Yep, peak hour for lunch) and I put my name down on the list with an expected wait of 20-30 mins (Mr D wasn’t too impressed at all…).
Gami Chicken & Beer, Melbourne (Little Lonsdale Street)
We decided to go to Gami before our little Escape Room adventure because its happy hour somewhere in the world right now, it’s Beer o’clock! My friend booked for a table of 5 on a Saturday for 12:30PM and when I arrived, I was really surprised that it wasn’t packed at all. We were seated upstairs and surprise surprise, it was fully empty!

Boreks, North Melbourne
As we walked past Queen Victoria Market on our way for lunch, my friend dragged me into the Deli Hall to introduce me to Boreks for a snack (I was getting quite Hangry at this point).
The Grand Trailer Park Taverna, Melbourne
I finally got to come here and I decided to take Mr D out (Yes, I took him and not the other way around, Ka-ching!). We got there at 11:30am on a Saturday and thank god they open at 11:30am!
