It’s almost Christmas time and everyone is trying to get together before the holidays and it was time to catch up with Miss Train and Miss Panda to exchange our KK presents (YAYERS!). Miss Train booked us in for Oriental Spoon (the first one) across from Melbourne Central since we were all taking the train home.
Shanghai Street Dumplings, Melbourne
Miss Tay Tay was having her 1989 tour tonight and Miss Asian Fusion and I decided to have a quick meal before we ‘shake it off ooooh’. Miss Asian Fusion took me to her little fav spot for dumplings – Shanghai Street Dumplings.
I Love Dumplings, Flemington
My workie lunch group wanted to do an xmas dinner together and I was yet again in charge of suggesting a place and making sure everyone turns up. I suggested dumplings and EVERYONE was all for it. I made a reservation at I love dumplings in Flemington and our night started off from there (tip: make a reservation because it gets SUPER DUPER BUSY!)
Mama’s Buoi, Melbourne (Melbourne GPO)
Wondering around the city for dinnner with Mr 3 cents and Miss Curly Fries we eventually made it to Mama’s Buoi with Miss Curly Fries recommendation.
Abb’s Kebabs, Kealba
It was a late Saturday night (well for me anyway) and I was craving kebabs. Luckily for me, the babies just came home (party animals WOOOHOO!) and I convince them to drive us to get some KEBABS YO! We went Abb’s kebabs because we heard it’s good and its quite newish.
Big Mouth, St Kilda
The last of my zomato voucher and it was for Big Mouth. I decided to take my friend since we were due for a catch up. I made reservations just in case but it was a Monday night and it wasn’t really busy at all. We were ushered upstairs because it was way cooler (according to the downstairs staff) and it was totes cooler. Great decor, great vibe and lots of cushions for your tooshie.
Aangan, Derrimut
It was dinner time with the stooges and we decided to have indian because that’s what we were craving! I didn’t realise that Aangan opened a second eatery in Derrimut and so Stooge 1 booked it for a Sunday night.
Jimmy Grants, Ringwood (Eastland Shopping Centre)
After my appointments Mr D wanted to check out the new and improved Eastland. It was lunch time and I was getting hungry but not yet hangry and after walking around the food area, we stopped at Jimmy Grants since Mr D didn’t share with me last time.
Railway Hotel, South Melbourne
I received a voucher from Zomato to use at Railway Hotel in South Melbourne and I was excited to go since pubs always have great vibes and I decided to take along the babies. We walked through the front door and found a bar and couldn’t see the dining area at all, so we walked outside to see if there were any other doors. Luckily, one of the staff ran out and called us back in and told us the dining area was around the back (how did he even know?? must be PSYCHIC!). It was quite roomy and had a relaxed feel to it. They even had a fireplace and an awesome outdoors area which was currently being reserved for a wedding dinner.
Siglo, Melbourne
Mr 3 cents (that’s what mumsy bear calls him…translated it to vietnamese because she couldn’t say his name…) and I thought it was time to catch up and he decided to take me on a romantic date at the cigar bar Siglo for wine, cheese and FOIE GRAS! There was no signage at the front, just a brown wooden door and we pushed through it and stumbled across the supper club which was classy and cozy. I was mesmerized and continued up the stairs and we hit Siglo. I was in utter awe, it was so amazing with the view of buildings and trees.
