Miss Train and I decided that we needed a sugar hit and was banking on Matcha Mylkbar but since it was super full (it was a one hour wait? OH EM GEE!!), we decided to walk around St Kilda and see where we could drop by. Eventually we got tired of walking and ended up at Veludo (it was also in the Entertainment Book, SCORE!). So we plopped out tooshies down and looked over the menu.
COLLABORATION: Entertainment Book 2016/2017 for Sane Australia
This year I’ve joined forces (may the force be with you) with the Entertainment Book to raise funds for Sane Australia.
The Entertainment book contains various discounts from 2-for-1 offers, 25-50% vouchers for attractions, cafes and restaurants (woohoo!) and other entertainment. There’s one for all the states in Australia and New Zealand so no one will miss out! You can even get the digital version which is handy if you’re a spontaneous person and hate carrying the chunky book around.
Royal Stacks Launch, Melbourne
Royal Stacks is the newest Shake Shack inspired burger place to open up in Melbourne with the help of Dani Zeini who also opened Grand Trailer Park Taverna, Truck Stop Deluxe, Easey’s and Dandenong Pavilion. I was invited to attend pre-launch of Royal Stacks and all opinions expressed are my own.
Din Tai Fung
Baby A wanted to do an outing and take mumsy and daddy bear for some dumplings and pop their ‘xiao long bao’ cherry, so where to take them then Din Tai Fung in the Emporium.
I Love Dumplings, Flemington
My workie lunch group wanted to do an xmas dinner together and I was yet again in charge of suggesting a place and making sure everyone turns up. I suggested dumplings and EVERYONE was all for it. I made a reservation at I love dumplings in Flemington and our night started off from there (tip: make a reservation because it gets SUPER DUPER BUSY!)
Aangan, Derrimut
It was dinner time with the stooges and we decided to have indian because that’s what we were craving! I didn’t realise that Aangan opened a second eatery in Derrimut and so Stooge 1 booked it for a Sunday night.
Sam Sam, Melbourne
Shopping with Mr D in the city and we spotted a new Korean Fried Chicken eatery and of course we had to stop by and check it out!
Pizza Farro, Thornbury
I decided to take Mr D out for some pizza at Pizza Farro and thanks to zomato I got a voucher to check them out. P.S they also offer a gluten free menu too.
Hung Phat, St Albans
Hung Phat use to be called Ha Long and is also now under new management. This is the gang’s usual spot for when we wanted to catch up over cheap food and welcome to stay as long as we like. However, this wasn’t the case when we went here on a saturday night. It was only 8PM and it was empty, hardly any customers and we got a table for 5 immediately. I ordered wonton soup with egg noodles (LOVE THEM WONTONS) and it was a bit below average.

ITALY: Wonderful Ice Cream, Roma
Whilst in Italy, Mr D and I had been having A LOT of gelato (when I say a lot, I mean literally 3 times a day!) and we stumbled across Wonderful Ice Cream while shopping on the main road.
