Having grown up in a Vietnamese family, I am very familiar with the words che, the vietnamese desserts that can be served hot or cold, vibrant and full of flavour. So having heard that Che Desserts have opened up late into the night, I had to drag one of the triplet babies along to check it out. Stepping inside, the decor was bright and vibrant and just makes you smile. On the walls are different parts of Vietnam with people on motorbikes and of course, its quite instagram worthy.
I am a huge fan of Durian and will literally lather myself in durian if I could so naturally, I wanted to try the Enduriance che. We were quite disappointed with the amount of durian that was in it. The flavour of the overall che wasn’t really strong at all but it was very refreshing.
EnDURIANce Che – $7.90
Coconut milk, pandan jelly, crunchy seaweed, water chestnut tapioca gems, seasonal fruits and durian
The desserts here are quite expensive and for what it is and the flavour did not blow me out of the water. It’s a great place for those who haven’t tried Che before.
