The Creative Couple were craving Mexican food so we looked on Zomato and decided to check out Hecho En Mexcio in Fitzroy. Located on Brunswick St, it is super busy and it’s quite difficult to find free parking, they’re usually 1-2 hours free parking. Anywho, walking in we were greeted very warmly by the staff. We ordered our meals and chatted away.

Mr D got the Chilli Con Carne and this was definitely delish. The minced beef with mexican beans were so flavoursome and coupled with the salsa and corn chippies, it was YUMMO!!

I got the pulled pork quesadilla and found it to be a touch dry and didn’t quite have a lot of flavour which was a shame considering the chilli con carne was so delish.

Now, we ordered the Mexican warm churros because you can’t ever leave a venue without getting dessert. Unfortunately, they forgotten to put our order through and it took 40 mins to rectify the situation AND to get our churros which was very disappointing. The churros itself was pretty good, the milk chocolate sauce wasn’t overly sweet and the dough was so yummo.

The food here was pretty good for the price. However, due to the slow service and the inattentiveness of the staff, we wouldn’t be coming back any time soon which is very disappointing.
