Auction Rooms has been around for yonks and it’s got a pretty well known reputation for it’s brunch and coffees. So I went and took mumsy bear and daddy bear for some brunching. It was mother’s day so it was super duper busy but we got there real early and only had to wait 20 mins before we got a seat. If you come by on a Sunday, there’s ample of free parking so even though you can’t get there easily by public transport, you don’t have to stress about parking. Anywho, once we got to our table, I got the barista breakfast for the parentals because they wanted to try a mixture of coffees and that included a short black, flat white and filtered coffee. We loved every single one and it was great value.

I got the soy latte and yes, it was superb as well. Very fragrant, very smooth and just oh so good.

Mr D got the ice coffee and it definitely gave him a caffeine hit. He absolutely loved it and that it was quite strong as well.

Daddy bear got the breakfast board which consists of a range of things from soft-boiled egg to chorizo to a tumeric super smoothie. This is great for someone who can’t decide what they want and want to try a little of everything. The soft-boiled egg was perfect and oozy, the granola was fresh and light and the potato hash was crunchy and balanced out the chorizo and the salmon rillettes. We all really enjoyed this.

Mumsy bear and Mr D got the corned beef has with sriracha hollandaise with pita bread and boy oh boy was this delish. I got the Teriyaki eggplant and soba noodle salad and this was AMAZEBALLS! The soba was oh so lovely and was not grainy at all, the teriyaki eggplant gave it a nice savoury flavour and the chilli dressing gave it a nice zing to it. It was very refreshing and light and it’s definitely for someone who wants to have something light and healthy.
