After a night of burgers for dinner, we decided to drop by Brunetti in Carlton to satisfy our sweet tooth. As we waited for Big L to arrive, Mr Angry Asian and I went around and picked which cakes we wanted because, well, who can ever say no to cakes! There’s a few Brunetti around Melbourne and Carlton is the original and the newly renovated spot (moved to another area) makes it absolutely breathtaking. There’s not that many seats around so be sure to stalk the tables until you find a spot for your tooshies.
They have a range of cakes and pastries and boy, do they all look yummilicious. I got the lemon tart because, well I absolutely adore lemon anything. This was very lemon-y and will smack you in the face with its flavour. The pastry was a bit disappointing though. It was very soft and not flaky at all.

Big L got the Tiramisu since she was an absolute coffee lover. This wasn’t one of the best ones I’ve had. The sponge was way too soggy but the cream was delish. It did satisfy Big L’s coffee/sweets cravings though.

Brunetti has so many AMAZEBALL cakes and if you’re in the area or looking for a late night dessert eatery with your coffees, get your butt down to Brunetti and enjoy its bustling atmosphere.
