It was Mr Hipster’s birthday (well it was the day before) and we decided to have lunch next door at the pub because, well, because pubs are Mr Hipster’s second home. Miss Mousey made a call to West End Market Hotel and pre-ordered our meals so by the time we got there, our food would be ready. Lunchtime came around and we made our way to West End for some pub grub.

When we arrived, there was one staff on call that was manning the bar and serving the food. We had to pay for the food before hand and we all got the $14 meal. So we sat down and had expected the food to be ready, but, dun dun dun, it wasn’t. We were on a time limit and they had said that the food will be ready once we arrived. It took a good 15 minutes before the food came out and it was GINORMOUS! Miss Mousey got the fish and chips which also had salad. She said the fish wasn’t hot and it was very soft and not crunchy at all and she was really disappointed.

Mr Hipster of course got his all time favourite, chicken parmigiana. He found the chicken was way too dry.

I got the lasagna and it wasn’t too shabby. Although, it did remind me of frozen lasagna.

Mrs Prada got the Grazier’s Rump because she loves her steak. However, she had asked for medium rare and when it came out, it was practically well done.

West End is right next to work and very convenient. The portions are huge but the food itself isn’t something you’ll go back for. The service was pretty decent and they try to look after you, well as much as one person manning the floor can. The food wasn’t hot when it came out which was really disappointing. Sorry West End but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
