Rye Cafe is a really cute and family friendly cafe located within the Showgrounds Village Complex in Flemington with new owners who took over 6 months ago. I was invited to dine by Rye Cafe and all opinions expressed are my own.
I turned up with Baby A at 9AM on a Saturday morning and there were heaps of parking in the shopping complex carpark (SCORE!). There wasn’t a lot of people in the cafe at this time (perhaps the party people needed a sleep in) and we bagged a table. The decor is very modern turning hipster-y and oh so casual (just the way I liked it).
We got a chai latte and a cappuccino to start off and both enjoyed it.
Baby A got the home made muesli with poached pear, berries and greek yoghurt. He ABSOLUTELY found it AMAZEBALL! It was really refreshing and light! The serving size was VERY GENEROUS and he did not want to share with me at all (too late!).

I got the baked eggs in cumin rugo which was a traditional Turkish dish with baked eggs in a seasoned tomato sauce. When this came out, my gosh, it was GINORMOUS! I found it to be a bit on the sour side though. The bread was super crispy and dunking into the dish, was pretty good.
