It was dinner time and Mr D and I promised ourselves we would stray from the main street but we were so tired we just dropped into the first place we saw – La Cucina Nazionale. Now, we were greeted warmly and that was about the service we got (step up your game Rome!). The interior was lovely and there was such a happy vibe and it cheered me up a bit.
We were given Italian menus after requesting English ones (Strike 1). I ordered the pizza and it was pretty average.
Mr D got the value deal where he gets to have cabonara, roast chicken and salad. He was so didn’t enjoy the cabonara because 1. It was teeny tiny (Is this a meal for ants?) and 2. it was super bland. He did like the roast chicken though and well, salad was salad.
Definitely not the place to go if you want authentic Italian food with good service. Try going into alley ways away from main roads to get a decent meal.
