Work trip again and for lunch I got to go to Briars. When I got there, it was amazing location and setting, I felt like I was in a little country town (my workmate turned to me and said we were kinda were…).
I excitedly rushed in and got a table (so packed for a Tuesday lunchtime) and was asked to wait at the bar for our table to get ready. They even had a wood fireplace at the bar (coolios)!
Our table was ready and we figured out that to order we had to go up to where the food was. You had an option of steak where you get to cook it yourself or they cook it (how amazing! Who knew you could cook things yourself???).
Different Steaks
There was also a salad bar, it wasn’t really yummy thought (Yep tried it).
Salad Bar
I ordered the lamb shanks with mash. The lamb shanks were so tender it fell off the bone and it was pretty good. The mash was creamy and had hint of chives in them.

My workmate got the rib eye with chips and he thought it was FABULOUS (but he did tell me that he compared it to pub steaks though. ..).
You could also order dessert at a different window but I didnt get a chance to have it since we were super full.

This is a little cute lodge. Don’t expect amazing food when you come here but come for the location and amazing setting.
