NSW: Meat & Wine Co, Darling Harbour (Sydney)

So its dinner time and it was ladies choice of where to go (ladies choice meant ME hohoho). I decided to try meat and wine co since I’ve been hanging to try it in melbourne but never gotten the chance. We walked in and there was a table for two (didn’t have reservations AND it was super full for a Tuesday night). We looked at the menu and I decided to get the Monte Black Fillet with mash and merrindo valley mushroom sauce. I got the steak medium rare and when it came it out it was pretty decent. I found it a bit tough to slice through though which was a bit disappointing. The sauce was okay and so was the mash.Monte Black Fillet (300g) with Mash – $49

My workmate got the Monte grain rib-eye with mash and he found it to be beautiful. Also got the garden salad so we could be a little bit healthy (yeah right…who were we kidding).

Finally, most important part of the night, DESSERT!! I got the Panna cotta and I thought it was pretty average too. That was a bit disappointing too….

The workmate got the ice cream and it includes cookies and cream, honeycomb and mint chocolate. I found the cookies and cream was the yummiest (Yep he let me try his first hohoho) and the least yummiest was the honeycomb. The mint chocolate was too minty for my liking but the workmate loved that one. Each to their own I guess…. (I’m right though hahaha).

The atmosphere was casual, the service was great, the food was pretty decent but not where I’d go again or suggest it to others though…
