Mr & Mrs Anderson a new cafe which opened in December 2016 which makes it quite fresh on the blockin Hawthorn East. With a focus on sustainability and the majority of produce that is used are from their farm in Moe and straight onto the plate in the cafe. What’s even more impressive? The chef comes from Michelin starred restaurants and have worked in amazing Australian eateries including Attica, 3 bags full and circa just to name a few. The chef is bringing fine dining to cafes and it definitely shows in Mr & Mrs Anderson.

Spiral Beans, Preston

Healthy eating has been creeping up slowly and slowly on my preference when looking for food. Spiral Beans in Preston has ticked that box and has been opened since November 2016 (only a month or so) and is the new and improved version of Disco Beans. Spiral Beans offers whole food in their most natural state limiting the processed and refined elements. Spiral Beans offers contemporary cooking methods with traditional Japanese flavours.

MALAYSIA: Restoran Sri Nirwana Maju, Bangsar Baru (KL)

Miss Traveler and Miss Mumma had a local friend in Malaysia and he took us out to dinner. Since we met up with him at 8:30PM, we were very limited to what we could have for dinner. He had a bright idea and lead us to Bangsar (the hip and happening place) for some ‘banana leaf’ dinner and stopped at Sri Nirwana Maju. This eatery was quite busy but luckily for us, we got a table within 5 minutes of arriving.
