Chop Shop, Melbourne CBD

Mr D and I haven’t been around in the CBD in a while and we needed to refuel before we hit the town for some drinkies. Walking down Swanston street, we eyed Chop Shop and of course Mr D is all for Korean and this place promised Modern KBBQ. We skipped inside and since it was only 5:30PM on a Saturday night (yep, we eat at elderly people time) there weren’t a lot of customers around.

Dumplings Plus, Maribyrnong (Highpoint Shopping Centre)

It was juicy and quenched my xiao long bao thirst!

Your Thai Rice and Noodle Bar, Melbourne

I have been here a couple of times and decided to come here for cheap eats and quick service.  My usual dish is the green curry (LOVE!!!!) but I thought I’ll be different and try something else on the menu, Tom Yum Noodle Soup with chicken.  Tom Yum soup doesn’t traditionally come with noodles of any sort but this dish came with vermicelli noodles.  The soup base was very average and I think the noodles were overkill.  I also got the durian smoothie (yes, some people find it stinky but I think it’s the best smell in the world!) and I quite enjoyed it.
