After a fun night out at escape room (we got out of course with 4 mins to spare) one of the dude’s missus couldn’t be contacted, so we decided to go for some asian desserts. We walked through Chinatown and ended up at Sweetie and Moustache dessert lounge and bar.
The interior was super duper cutie patootie and I was super duper excited. We only had to wait 5 minutes or so before we bagged a table. We got a few dishes to share and I got a green tea latte. It came in a super duper cute cup with a moustache (just like it’s name!). The green tea itself? Not so creamy nor very strong green tea flavour which was disappointing.
Green Tea Latte – $4.20
First shared dessert, the red bean tea-mirasu crepe cake. It’s a cake filled with many layers of crepes with green tea and red bean in the middle. This was quite light and not sickening either.
Red Bean Tea-ramisu Mille Crepe – $9.50
The final dish we had was the Tiramisu Honey Toasts which was basically had crispy honey toast cubes, tiramisu gelato, chocolate ganache, custard, home made coffee sauce, ladyfingers and espresso. This was GINORMOUS and don’t try to eat the bread outside, it’s for the containment for everything so eat it last if you want to munch on it. The honey toasty cubes were lovely, quite crunchy and full of honey flavour. The gelato and ganache should have been on a plate on the side instead of sitting at the top because it all melted by the time the plate reached us.The coffee was super strong and the custard wasn’t really custard-y at all.
Tiramisu Honey Toasts – $18.50
The interior and atmosphere was lovely, the staff were nice but the food itself was a tad disappointing. I really wanted to like this place but I guess you can’t like everything in the world.
