Finally landed in London (woohoo!) and our first dinner was at a pub called Simon The Tanner which Mr D found online prior to our trip.

It has a casual ambiance and all sorts of people come by. The staff are friendly and you just pick a table, sit down and let them know what you want. Of course we had to have beer and cider because we’re in London BABYYYY!

I got the cheeseburger since I didn’t want anything else (yes I know, I should have gotten Fish and Chips…) and it wasn’t too bad. The beef patty was GINORMOUS and had a slice of cheese, tomato and lettuce in it. The bun was soft and wasn’t soggy either. However, I did find it a bit dry..needs some sauce in there buddy. I love the onion rings though, shame they only gave me 2 pieces (WHY???!!). Chips were average and needed more salt on them (Salt them up!!).

Mr D got the FISH AND CHIPS! The fish was amazing. It wasn’t oily and the fish was so moist and soft. Now this is why London is known for their fish and chips. I wanted to trade my meal with Mr D but he laughed and said no (how RUDE!!! hmph!).

It was a great pub to start off the trip and I would totally come back here for the fish and chips.
