One of the main thing that we really wanted to do before we leave Malaysia was to watch Finding Dory and the only time we were free to do this was on our last day in Malaysia. We needed to refuel and found the noodle station right next to the cinema.
MALAYSIA: Lotus, Petaling Jaya (Selangor)
It was our last day in Kuala Lumpur (sad face) and Miss Traveler’s uncle decided to take us for some roti which he deemed was the best around. So he picked us up from the hotel and drove all the way to Lotus.
MALAYSIA: Joo Hooi Cafe, George Town (Penang)
We landed at Penang and checked into our hotel and asked the staff where we should have lunch. She suggested that we go to Jalan Penang and check out Joo Hooi Cafe because that’s where the well known cendul was. So off we went to have some legendary cendul and of course lunch.
Malaysia: Tim Ho Wan, Mid Valley City (KL)
We were heading to Penang (land of awesome street food) and we walked around Mid Valley Megamall and remembered that there was a Tim Ho Wan. Miss Traveler and I have always wanted to just go and order BBQ Pork Buns and so we dragged Miss mumma in as well.
MALAYSIA: Sangkaya, Bangsar Baru (KL)
The girlie’s friend suggested another ice cream place where they’re known for their coconut ice cream. I mean, sure I was full from dinner and dessert but who could say no to a second dessert? My dessert stomach was in full swing and we waddled to Sangkaya.
MALAYSIA: Inside Scoop, Bangsar Baru (KL)
I told the girlie’s friend that I adore durian so he took us to the ultimate ice cream parlour where durian is one of their signature dessert, Inside scoop. What a cutie patootie name this artisan ice cream parlour had, inside scoop, get it?? Way too cute!
MALAYSIA: Restoran Sri Nirwana Maju, Bangsar Baru (KL)
Miss Traveler and Miss Mumma had a local friend in Malaysia and he took us out to dinner. Since we met up with him at 8:30PM, we were very limited to what we could have for dinner. He had a bright idea and lead us to Bangsar (the hip and happening place) for some ‘banana leaf’ dinner and stopped at Sri Nirwana Maju. This eatery was quite busy but luckily for us, we got a table within 5 minutes of arriving.
MALAYSIA: Homi Chicken Curry Puff, Mid Valley City (KL)
Every single time Miss Traveler visits Malaysia, she is guaranteed to stop by Homi Chicken Curry Puff to have well, a curry puff. We followed the Traveling couple until we found Homi and you can smell the pastry goodness a mile away.
MALAYSIA: Sumptuous Desserts, Mid Valley City (KL)
I met up with my baby cousin from Vietnam since he was working in KL and we went on a foodie adventure. I told him that I absolutely adored durian so he took me to a little dessert stall in Mid Valley Megamall since we were in a ‘no leaving the megamall phase’ called sumptuous desserts.
MALAYSIA: Madam Kwan’s, Mid Valley City (KL)
The Traveling couple had dinner plans with the parentals so the rest of the girlies had to find dinner on our own. Miss Traveler’s mumsy bear recommended Madam Kwan’s and thus we navigated through the gigantic megamall and found it right next to the olive garden.
