We were doing some wedding things on the weekend and I needed to eat or else I won’t be doing any more wedding things for a while. Mr D decided to take me to a place where he use to come by with his Grandpa, Pho Huong Viet Saigon in Bayswater. There were heaps of parking but it does get busy so if you want a spot, don’t drop by at lunch time. When we stepped in, we were greeted by the friendly staff and was shown to our table immediately. They got our order promptly and the good thing about this place was their food comes out oh so quickly.
My durian smoothie came out and it did not have a strong durian taste which was very disappointing. Guys, perhaps add more durian into the smoothie and it would be fantabulous.

Mr D got his loyal Vietnamese Ice Coffee and he loved it. Yes, they use the whole drip with condense milk. If you’ve never had Vietnamese Ice Coffee, you definitely need to give it a try.

I’m a sucker for wonton noodle soup and these were quite delish. They were very generous with the wonton serving and the soup was very fragrant and flavoursome. I quite enjoyed this dish and will definitely come back to get this. Also, if you get the noodles, it’s only $1 extra and it’s totally worth it.

Mr D got the beef pho (noodle soup) and it isn’t what I was expecting. It was very sweet and it wasn’t the authentic Pho soup that I was looking for. It was light and refreshing but something was missing and I couldn’t put my finger on it.

If you’re in Bayswater and you’re craving for some Vietnamese food, then I’d recommend this place. However, I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here for pho, wonton noodle soup yes, pho no. If you’re looking for a place to have pho, perhaps head down to Springvale.
