We were waiting around in the area and decided to grab a drinkie since we had an hour to kill. We drove into a strip of shops and finally, hidden away was a fine chocolate shop – Hahndorf’s Fine Chocolate. You can guess where I made Mr D go in for coffee!

They sell chocolate on both sides of the wall if you want to take them away or you need to gift someone.

I went up to the counter to order our drinkies and I also wanted to try the chocolate. I was informed by the friendly staff that you get a complimentary choccie when you order a drinkie (OH EM GEE!! HOW AMAZEBALL!!!). So I sat my tooshie down with Mr D and they came out with the chocolate tray and you pick a flavour you’d like to have (Winning in life right now!).

Mr D got a cup of latte and he picked the cookie and cream chocolate. Mr D found the coffee to be quite average but then I guess, they are known for their chocolate. He bit into the cookie and cream one and was surprised by an ooziness and he didn’t like that at all. It wasn’t very cookie and cream-y at all which was a little disappointing.

Latte – $3.80

I got the hot chocolate and this wasn’t as chocolate-y as expected. The chocolate shavings on top were awesome sauce though. I’ve been eyeing off the sticky date pudding chocolate when I stepped into the store. The sticky date pudding chocolate tasted like a sticky date pudding and it was oh so DELISH! LOVE IT!

Hot Chocolate – $3.80

It’s a very cute hidden place that’s been opened for 10 years. I can’t wait to come back to try all their chocolates!!!
