I had my Linnie day which meant a catch up with Miss Asian Fusion with no sight of Mr D for the whole day. We did a little road trip (anything more then 30 minutes equates to a road trip in our books) and headed on down to a little cafe, further down from all the shops stood Sardi Cafe. Sardi Cafe has been opened for 2 years now and it’s quite a local gem.
White Mojo, Balwyn
If you are up to date with any social media, you’d definitely have seen some of the prettiful dishes from White Mojo in the city. Did you know that there’s another White Mojo in Balwyn and it’s hip and happening just like the one in the CBD. I dragged Mr D to Balwyn to check out the bustling White Mojo.
Gontran Cherrier Launch, Collingwood
I’m a huge fan of anything french so when I heard that reknown celebrity chef Gontran Cherrier is opening up a boulangerie in Melbourne, boy was I super duper over the moon excited. What’s even better was that he was here to also promote his new opening (27th worldwide) right here in Melbourne.
Secret Kitchen Road to Coonawarra Wine Pairing, Melbourne
Secret Kitchen is located on the corner of Exhibition Street and Little Bourke Street which provides innovative and higher quality Chinese food. If you’re walking by, you’d definitely not miss this GINORMOUS building but then, when you’re vertically challenged like myself, everything is GINORMOUS! Secret Kitchen hosted a ‘Road to Coonawarra’ wine pairing banquet and I was luckily enough to attend.
Father’s Office, Melbourne
The work squad decided to have a day out where we were going to finally pop their exitus cherry. What do we need to do before we start trying to escape? Eat of course! I booked Father’s Office because of three reasons: 1. Miss Mousey has been and loved it, 2. It was right next door to exitus and 3. We could get 25% off using the Entertainment Book.
Woo Ga, North Melbourne
Mr Burberry was having an itching for some K-BBQ and decided to make it into a catchup with the gang (plus Mr D). He made a booking for Woo Ga on Victoria Street in North Melbourne on Sunday since it was Queen’s birthday the next day (WOOHOO! Partayyy time!)
Rockpool Bar & Grill, South Bank (Crown Casino Complex)
It’s Mr D’s birthday which means, we get to go and fill up our tummies!! This year was the year that Mr D finally decided that he was going to have steak so I decided to try out Rockpool in Crown Casino, thus made a booking. On the night, we skipped our way into the restaurant.
Amba, South Yarra
Located in the heart of Chapel Street in South Yarra stands a cafe called Amba. They’re the new kids on the block and have only been around for a few months.Another cafe you say, but if you need to get away from all the hustle and bustle, just take a step inside Amba.
Epocha, Carlton
Epocha has been on my list for a while and I’ve been trying to have dinner there twice already, each time we had to cancel because someone was always too sick to go. So, third time lucky I say. The exterior of Epocha is beautiful and I was in awe when I stood in front of it.
Eureka 89, Southbank
Thanks to the trusty stooges, Mr D and I got to have a lovely date day at Eureka 89 which is located in the Eureka tower. We both dressed up and made our way there. There was a red carpet and everything (unfortunately I took the photo when we left so they packed it away). So inside we skipped in.
