It was our last catch up with the Traveling couple before the jetset off for two years so we decided to do the most Melbourne thing and have brunch at the most cutie patootie cafe name Three Monkeys Place in Doncaster East.
Higher Ground, Melbourne
Today Stooge 1 and I were on our way to write postcards for terminally ill children which is such a lovely meet up but before we did, we needed to have brunch. Today’s pick was Higher Ground, the latest cafe from the teams from Top Paddock and Kettle Black. Luckily, we arrived at 10AM so it wasn’t full yet and we got a seat within 5 mins of arriving.
San Churro, Maribyrnong (Highpoint Shopping Centre)
I took my two top wisdom teeth out yesterday and I found out that Mr Burberry and Miss Asian Fusion were having the day off today so we decided to catch up for coffee and froyo since that was all I could eat. We met up at San Churro at Highpoint and it wasn’t too busy even though it was school holidays.
Sardi Cafe, Hawthorn
I had my Linnie day which meant a catch up with Miss Asian Fusion with no sight of Mr D for the whole day. We did a little road trip (anything more then 30 minutes equates to a road trip in our books) and headed on down to a little cafe, further down from all the shops stood Sardi Cafe. Sardi Cafe has been opened for 2 years now and it’s quite a local gem.
White Mojo, Balwyn
If you are up to date with any social media, you’d definitely have seen some of the prettiful dishes from White Mojo in the city. Did you know that there’s another White Mojo in Balwyn and it’s hip and happening just like the one in the CBD. I dragged Mr D to Balwyn to check out the bustling White Mojo.
Gontran Cherrier Launch, Collingwood
I’m a huge fan of anything french so when I heard that reknown celebrity chef Gontran Cherrier is opening up a boulangerie in Melbourne, boy was I super duper over the moon excited. What’s even better was that he was here to also promote his new opening (27th worldwide) right here in Melbourne.
Amba, South Yarra
Located in the heart of Chapel Street in South Yarra stands a cafe called Amba. They’re the new kids on the block and have only been around for a few months.Another cafe you say, but if you need to get away from all the hustle and bustle, just take a step inside Amba.
Sweetie & Moustache, Melbourne
After a fun night out at escape room (we got out of course with 4 mins to spare) one of the dude’s missus couldn’t be contacted, so we decided to go for some asian desserts. We walked through Chinatown and ended up at Sweetie and Moustache dessert lounge and bar.
Ministry of Cakes, Brunswick
After a day full of dress shopping, a cake cafe caught our eye – Ministry of cakes. So what else do the three stooges do? We enter and stuff our faces with cakes of course! We stepped inside and was surrounded by a beautiful smell of baked goodies. There were wedding cakes and novelty cakes on display and so we sat our tooshies down and looked over the menu.
Lux Foundry, Brunswick
Dress shopping was on the agenda with the two stooges (ARGH!) and so we were on Sydney Road. After the first appointment, we were recommended by the staff to drop by Lux Foundry for brunch so that’s exactly what we did. We ventured out and battled against the strong Melbourne winds and found Lux Foundary, just across the train tracks.
