Vamos, Melbourne

Vamos was definitely a hidden restaurant on Little Bourke Street and it’s not very obvious where it was. Inside what looks like an apartment building and up the elevators, you’ll get hit in the face with a cozy and spanish vibe when the elevator doors opened. They have live music which is always a plus AND it’s super romantic so boys and girlies, take note.

St. LuJa, St Kilda

Dimmi sometimes has amazing offers where some restaurants have 50% off the food menu and that’s such a great value if you want to try different restaurants. Since we were in St Kilda, we checked out St LuJa before we headed to our show. It’s a very cosy place which is a bar / restaurant and serves up a mean cocktail (well mocktails for us because it was a school night). The staff are super duper friendly and we were plonked right in front of the fireplace (talk about romance guys!). We did not waste any time at all and went on an ordering frenzy.

TAS: Aloft, Hobart

A getaway trip can’t be complete if there isn’t dinner plans at a hatted restaurant and of course, trusty Mr D had made a reservation at Aloft for our anniversary dinner and I’m glad he did because it did get quite busy. Stepping inside, it was beautiful. Set in a glassed restaurant that sits over the water, it was totes romantic. The staff gladly showed us to our table by the window and we chose to do the $80 set menu. The good thing about Aloft is there’s set menus for people that eat everything, vegetarian, vegans and pescatarian so there’s something for everyone.

Epocha, Carlton

Terra Rossa, Melbourne

I came here for date night and had no regrets! The weather was gloomy and rain was pouring but we battled the seasons to get into Terra Rossa. Once inside, the atmosphere was buzzing and we were greeted instantly and shown to our table. The menus came out and we skimmed over it and everything looked delish. The slow cooked duck salad was sold out (damn!! really wanted it) so we decided to order drinks and the savoury first.
