The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is in full swing and the work gang and I dropped by and had a few (more like a plethora) of giggles and of course need to refuel ourselves. Mr and Mrs Tequila really wanted to have Vietnamese so we stopped at Pho Dzung on Miss Mousey’s recommendation.
Pabu Grill & Sake Menu Launch, Collingwood
Pabu Grill and Sake is a Japanese eatery that has been opened for 4 years and located in the heart of busy Fitzroy. The owner also influences the menu and regularly travels back to Japan for inspiration (dedication right there!). Pabu has released a new menu and I decided to take Miss Stooge 1 along since Miss Stooge 2 is away in Japan and this was the closest thing we’ll get to Japan.
Miss Marple’s Tearoom, Sassafras
Every single time I’ve been to 1000 steps in Mount Dandenong, I always wanted to try the scones at Miss Marple’s Tearoom but it was always full (and I mean chock a block). This time around, Mr D and I arrived at 11am on the dot (when they first open) and snagged a table for 2. We were finally in Miss Marple’s (hurray!!).
Bibelot, South Melbourne
After brunch, the girlies and I decided that we needed a sugar hit and since we were in South Melbourne, why not hit up Bibelot?! So off we went on another dessert adventure. It was super busy inside but luckily we managed to get a table for 5. Since we were all full (pants bursting at the seams) we got 4 cakes to share and two scoops of ice-cream (yeah, girls have a dessert tummy FYI). Each cake was $9.50 and they all looked absolutely divine!
Kuu Cafe, South Melbourne
The girlies in the gang decided to get brunch and chose Kuu Cafe, a Japanese cafe and eatery located in South Melbourne, a Miss Mori choosing. Luckily for me, it was the Easter weekend which means parking in front of the cafe was absolutely free (BOOM!). I was running late and when I arrived, the girlies were there and had a bagged a table. It was really cozy inside and the decor was super duper cute.
G2 Korean BBQ, Melbourne
Miss Pandan had a craving for Korean BBQ (KBBQ for the cool kiddies) and Mr D couldn’t pass up the chance to have Korean (yep, he’s a HUGE fan!) we set off into the city in search for some KBBQ. Since it was Good Friday, you can count on the restaurants in the city to be opened. Luckily, G2 wasn’t too full yet and we all rushed in to get a table.
Pablo Honey, St Kilda
Pablo Honey is the new South American inspired bad boys in town located in the heart of St Kilda, conveniently located in front of the tram stop, opposite lunar park and 5 minutes walk from the beach (I told you it was in the heart!). They’ve only been open for 4 months and already, the place is buzzing with excitement.
Dr Jekyll, St Kilda
I’ve been booking places via Dimmi and I finally got a $50 voucher to use (SCORE!) and so I took Mr D to a brunch place I’ve been eyeing – Dr Jekyll in the heart of St Kilda.
Sezar Take 2, Melbourne
It was Mr Burberry and Miss Teeth’s birthday bash and they chose to head on down to Sezar for some Armenian food. I decided to let Mr D take the lead and try to find the place and he spotted the bike which eventually led him to the restaurant.
Carnegie Korean BBQ, Carnegie
One of my work mate has never tried korean BBQ and we decided to all take him (road trip…not really!). Miss Mousey chose the place and it was all the way in Carnegie – Korean BBQ. She made a booking and in we went.
