Bibelot, South Melbourne

After brunch, the girlies and I decided that we needed a sugar hit and since we were in South Melbourne, why not hit up Bibelot?! So off we went on another dessert adventure. It was super busy inside but luckily we managed to get a table for 5. Since we were all full (pants bursting at the seams) we got 4 cakes to share and two scoops of ice-cream (yeah, girls have a dessert tummy FYI). Each cake was $9.50 and they all looked absolutely divine!

Lets check out each cake YO! YUMMO!!! The lemon, macadamia and yoghurt was oh so delish. It was zingy and creamy, not what I expected at all. Really LOVED IT!

When I saw there was a green tea dome in the cabinent, of course I had to get it (well I convince Miss Mori to get it). This was so easy to cut and inside had red beans. The green tea flavour wasn’t overpowering and overall wasn’t too sweet either.

The orange, toffee & bahibe chocolate mousse where I was going to assume that it was going to be soft and fluffy. Of course it was fluffy but boy, was it rich. we weren’t able to finish this at all but if you like jaffas, you’ll definitely love this.

Miss Spam picked the mango, yuzu and coconut and this was my favourite cake. It was fruity (duh!) and super duper light. LOVE IT!

Bibelot is great if you enjoy rich, flavourful cakes. They also serve actual food (not saying that desserts aren’t real food) and heaps of tea/coffee/wines (whatever tickles your fancy). The staff are friendly and very attentive and I’ll definitely drop by again when I’m in the area.
