Mr D’s fam bam decided to take us to the local french restaurant (because….we’re finally in FRANCE!!) for dinner and it was so cute.

We got a table at the back in the private room since there were 10 of us. They gave us the menu and of course Mr D and I couldn’t read it so we depended on his fam bam to translate and pick for us. So we got the 33€ meal where you get three courses which I think is pretty good value. So of course you get croutons with garlic butter but due to my granny teeth the croutons hurt me while I ate them…

Being in France I of course got the escargot which was snails with garlic butter and they were FABULOUS! I think the sauce helped ALOT!

For main I got myself the steak tartare which comes with salad and fries (Yep, going all french tonight!). Yes, steak tartare is raw but oh my gosh it was AMAZEBALL! If you can’t have raw things, just close your eyes and think happy thoughts and pop it in your mouth. It was so flavoursome and it’s cured with lemon as well.

Mr D got steaks and fries since he was craving MEAT (he’s a meateater, a meateater!). It was a tad tough but he didn’t complain.

Finally, dessert came out. I got the profiteroles and didn’t realise just how GINORMOUS it was! It was covered in a dark chocolate sauce but I found it too filling and wasn’t light at all. I actually didn’t quite enjoy it to be honest.

One of Mr D’s cousins got the tasting platter and it had a selection of desserts although I think it was the kids menu…DAMMIT! Should have gotten the kids menu!

Mr D got the selection of sorbets and boy, was it sour (all fruity flavours). I couldn’t handle the intense flavours so I decided to be the good fiance and let him have it all.

I would definitely come back but you’ll need to brush up on your french seeing as it was in suburbs and the staff were struggling to translate from french to english.
