Those who are always on facebook will have noticed a certain breakfast tower popping up on their feed which looks like it could feed a town. This breakfast tower was the sole reason why the K sisters chose Northern Perk as our next location for our catch up session. There’s a lot of parking on the side streets and if you get there early, you won’t miss out.

To start off, I of course opted for the chai latte. It was pretty decent but it was a touch on the luke warm side and was not hot at all which was very disappointing.

Chai Latte

I got the Zataar Smash and this was quite refreshing. I also got a side of mushrooms for an extra $2 and they were worth every dollar because they were AMAZEBALL. It was perfect and so full of flavour. I was quite disappointed with the amount of tomatoes on the plate since the menu stated a tomato salad. Other then that, I quite enjoyed this dish.

The girls and Mr D got the Northern Perk Tower to share and my gosh it was GINORMOUS! You get a bit of everything from savouries to sweets. There were way too much food and some tings were awesome such as the zataar pita,to the dips and eggs while others were pretty average like the eggs and the pancakes.

Northern Perk Tower – $24 pp

Northern Perk is a great place to drop by with your mates to smash the Northern Perk Tower but the food itself? The zataar pita were absolutely AMAZING but the rest were quite average. I would travel along Sydney Road for another cafe to check out and give this place a miss. Sorry Northern Perk Cafe.
