We were looking for a place to have a quick lunch with the creative couple and since we were at highpoint, we opted for some Malaysian food – Roti Road. Roti Road is located on the lower level food court right next to Strike. There’s plenty of seats so you don’t have to run around like a headless chook. We bagged a table and flipped through the menu and started our lunch date.
To start off the hot day, I got the Malaysian Styled Iced White Coffee with Oreo and this was AMAZEBALL! Hint of coffee so it’s not super strong and the oreos gave it a super sweetness and everything was quite refreshing. Perfect for someone who doesn’t really like straight coffee.
Malaysian Style Iced White Coffee with Oreo – $4.50
I wanted something light and could never pass up an opportunity to have roti. I went for the simple roti canai and yes, the roti was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sambal was a touch spicy and the lentil was a touch bland as well. Overall, this did satisfy my roti cravings.
Roti Canai – $5.90
served with a side of sambal, curry and dhal lentil
Mr D got the home made ice lemon tea and this was oh so refreshing but he just shrugged and said it was pretty average.
Home Made Ice Lemon Tea – $4.50
Mr D got the Nasi Goreng and the portions are ginormous. This was quite lovely, fragrant and full of flavour. Mr D loved it and downed it like no tomorrow.
Nasi Goreng – $12.50
Malaysian style fried rice with shrimp, chicken, egg, tofu, bean sprouts, choy sum & tomato
Roti Road is a great place for cheap eats if you want something quick and you’re on the go. The food is pretty good and I’ll definitely drop by for some roti if I’m missing Malaysia.
