Pizzas, who doesn’t love them? Now, what about wood-fired pizza? Yep, I’m salivating too! Well you lucky north-siders, there’s a pizzeria called Shop 225 which is located on the main street of Melville Road (park on the side peeps!) which not only serves up wood-fired pizza but they’re also VEGAN and VEGETARIAN friendly!! It’s a cosy little joint so first in first served bros.
Tazio Birraria Pizzeria & Cucina, Melbourne
The girlies wanted a catch up to hear all of my Japan stories and I found out that Dimmi has amazing 50% offers at various restaurants and they change every week so I suggested we check out Tazio for some Italiano! I made a booking and BAM we turned up on the night and it was quite busy for a Wednesday night and a lot of people were here for after work drinkies. Stepping into the eatery, the staff were warm and friendly and I was already enjoying Tazio. Since all the food were 50% off, we were definitely going to go to town.
Olivigna, Warrandyte
Mr D and I haven’t been out and about for a while so we decided to cash in one of his mate’s good food voucher at Olivigna since Miss Teeth has rated this place quite highly. We made a booking for a Saturday night and it was quite full when we arrived. A lot of parking, beautiful atmosphere and I bet a spectacular looking vineyard if we were to come in the daytime. Anywho, once we arrived, we were shown to our seat and I flicked through the menu quite quickly since I was super duper hungry! We were given the house bread and olive oil (grown from their olive grove) which was awesomely amazing!

Pidapipo Gelateria, Carlton
I was with Mrs Creative and we were craving desserts. We were already in the city so I suggested Pidapipo since there’s always a line out front and it’s an ice-creamery which I have yet to tried. I turned the car towards Carlton, walked a block and finally reached the glowing neon sign which indicated that heaven was around the corner.
Brunetti, Carlton
After a night of burgers for dinner, we decided to drop by Brunetti in Carlton to satisfy our sweet tooth. As we waited for Big L to arrive, Mr Angry Asian and I went around and picked which cakes we wanted because, well, who can ever say no to cakes! There’s a few Brunetti around Melbourne and Carlton is the original and the newly renovated spot (moved to another area) makes it absolutely breathtaking. There’s not that many seats around so be sure to stalk the tables until you find a spot for your tooshies.
Tipo 00, Melbourne
The stooges and I have been trying to go to Tipo 00 but we keep forgetting to book. So we finally decide to commit and made a booking 6 weeks in advance (yes, that was the next available time, I KNOW!). Dinner reservations finally rolled around and we were all so pumped to finally check out the infamous Tipo 00 and their awesome sauce pastas.
400 Gradi, Essendon
5th of September was National Cheese Day and I found out that 400 Gradi was going to do a special pizza with 99 different cheese. Can you even name 99 different types of cheese because I sure can’t. This got me super pumped so Mr Angry Asian and I decided to take a trip to the Essendon venue to check out this grand pizza.
Pellegrini’s Espresso Bar, Melbourne
I’ve been bugging Mr D to take me to Pellegrini’s Espresso Bar for yonks now and finally (YES, FINALLY!) today was the day. It always caught my eye because it’s an Italian family-owned bar and it’s just the cutest thing when you see it from the outside.
+39 Pizzeria, Melbourne
I took my two stooges to +39 Pizzeria as a treat since I got a voucher from Zomato. All opinions expressed are my own.Luckily I made a booking because it was PACKED! Such a busy place but it’s quite small.
Pizza Farro, Thornbury
I decided to take Mr D out for some pizza at Pizza Farro and thanks to zomato I got a voucher to check them out. P.S they also offer a gluten free menu too.
