Miss Mumma and I were looking for a place to sit and chat whilst sipping on hot drinkies and she suggested Ironwood since they were known for their coffees. It was quite late but we were still invited inside, got seated and was served very quickly which was the way we liked it.
Mister Close, Melbourne CBD
Mister Close was suggested by Mrs Traveling couple for my catch up with Miss Mumma since it was smack bang in the middle of the CBD. So off we went and into the Midtown Plaza to find Mister Close and it was such a cute cafe in an unsuspecting plaza.
QLD: The Two Professors, Rockhampton
While Baby A was still moving around in good ol’ Queensland, the whole fam bam needed to help him move. This year it was to Rocky where it’s always hot and humid. Baby A had found the finest coffee shop in town (there weren’t that many to choose from) and we got there bright and early, bushy eyed tailed and all. The Two Professors, opened since 2014 and serving great coffees in a great atmosphere.
Red Beetle Cafe, Caroline Springs
I haven’t seen Mr Slowpoke in a while so it meant, catch up time. We decided to go somewhere local and he suggested Red Beetle Cafe in Caroline Springs (it wasn’t THAT local). It wasn’t too busy when we got there which is always a plus in my books and we sat our tooshies down.
Cacao Fine Chocolates & Patisserie, Maribyrnong (Highpoint Shopping Centre)
Highpoint has a lot of places for coffee if you get a tad tired from shopping and that’s exactly what we did, drop by Cacao for some pick me up caffeine.
Brunetti, Carlton
After a night of burgers for dinner, we decided to drop by Brunetti in Carlton to satisfy our sweet tooth. As we waited for Big L to arrive, Mr Angry Asian and I went around and picked which cakes we wanted because, well, who can ever say no to cakes! There’s a few Brunetti around Melbourne and Carlton is the original and the newly renovated spot (moved to another area) makes it absolutely breathtaking. There’s not that many seats around so be sure to stalk the tables until you find a spot for your tooshies.
Three Monkeys Place, Doncaster East
It was our last catch up with the Traveling couple before the jetset off for two years so we decided to do the most Melbourne thing and have brunch at the most cutie patootie cafe name Three Monkeys Place in Doncaster East.
Higher Ground, Melbourne
Today Stooge 1 and I were on our way to write postcards for terminally ill children which is such a lovely meet up but before we did, we needed to have brunch. Today’s pick was Higher Ground, the latest cafe from the teams from Top Paddock and Kettle Black. Luckily, we arrived at 10AM so it wasn’t full yet and we got a seat within 5 mins of arriving.
QLD: I Heart Brownies, Fortitude Valley
Whilst in Bakery Lane, a little shop caught my eye because, well, it was named I heart brownies! So what did I do? I skipped into the shop and feast my eyes on all them brownies YO!
QLD: Kiosk, Fortitude Valley
It was our last day in Queensland and we wondered around looking for a place to have coffee. Baby A took us to Bakery Lane (how cutie patootie is that name??) where there were little shops inside. Baby A finally picked Kiosk to grab some coffee.
