A night out in town means a night of snacking! We stumbled our way towards Biggie Smalls in Windsor at 11pm and there was hardly anyone there. We got in and was served real quick. With hip hop playing in the background, the food turned up oh so quick and we were famished!
Arbor Cafe, Mulgrave
Lunch time again AND it’s time to check out the rest of Nexus court. Arbor cafe was also packed with people checking in on their lunch break and they have a sit down menu OR have a quick feed with scrumptious sandwiches or wraps. We stumbled in, order at the front and sat our booties down in anticipation of our food.
The Little Food Hut, Mulgrave
Another day, another burger. We hit up The Little Food Hut and yes, I was warned that it’s going to have a greasy dirty feel to it but I was guaranteed a good feed. So off we went and it literally was a little take away store with a few tables in the inside and a few tables and crates on the outside.
Ma Long Kitchen and Dumplings, Mulgrave
Another little spot for work lunch and this time
Pho Village – Brandon Park Shopping Centre, Wheelers Hill
It’s lunchtime at work and we ventured out to Brandon Park Shopping Centre for a bit of Vietnamese food. Well, specifically pho for Ms Curly Fries and for me, Bun Bo Hue (BBH). We headed to Pho Village in the Brandon Park food court and yep, it’s crowded but the service was real quick. For only $11 you can get a steaming bowl of pho. Unfortunately I didn’t get a photo of the pho but it was pretty good pho. It was light, had all the right flavours and it was enough to me safe and warm. Definitely a recommended dish.
I went for the BBH and boy was that a mistake. It didn’t have the right flavours and it tasted very diluted which was a shame.
Bun Bo Hue – $11
If you’re in the area and want a pretty decent pho from a food court, I’d definitely recommend Pho Village. However, just keep in mind to just get the pho and steer clear of the BBH.

Miss Korea Kitchen, Camberwell
Whilst walking around Camberwell looking for a quick feed we stumbled upon Miss Korea Kitchen and I’m a sucker for Korean food (thank you Mr D for introducing kimchi into my life) so we plopped our booties down and flicked through the menu. The staff greeted us with massive smiles on their faces and it had such a casual ambiance.
57 Cafe Bar Restaurant, Pinewood
Work lunchies mean a new place to explore. 57 Cafe Bar Restaurant located on the outside of the Pinewood Shopping Centre and there’s plenty of parking around so it’s not too hectic. The staff were super friendly and we were a large group so we ordered the day before so the food could come out quick smart. Unfortunately, it came out so quite slow which was a shame. Now, back to the food.
Matilda 159 Domain, South Yarra
It was my big 3-0 and
Unabara Lobster & Oyster Bar – Japanese Restaurant Melbourne, Emporium Melbourne
Unabara has been on my radar for a while and they’ve opened up a second branch in Emporium (first being in Melbourne Central). Unabara in Emporium is on level 1 and it’s pretty spacious and lets you know that they specialise in lobsters and oysters.
Stocksville, Ashwood
There’s a new guy in town and they’re serving up brunch, lunch and coffees – so I’m basically trying to say a cafe! Located 8 minutes from Chaddy, Stocksville sits just off the main road tucked away. Not so tucked away that no one knows about it because it definitely gets busy. Stylish, friendly and welcoming, Stocksville sure knows how to make you feel comfy and wanting to stay.
