When you hear that there’s a gelati bar which is also a cafe, you just have to stop by. Located right by the beach with amazing view, I stopped by for some ice cream! The staff were oh so friendly and I felt so welcomed and I just wanted to stay there forever! Unfortunately, I had work so I got the vanilla bean ice cream and my gosh it was perfect!
NSW: Liquid Gold Beach Cafe, Newcastle
I got up early in the morning to roam around the beach to find a place for breakkie before I had to meet my co-workers to start our work day. Walking along I found Liquid Gold Beach Cafe and decided to drop by for something healthy (well, what I’d like to think as healthy anyway). Shame that there were constructions going on and I couldn’t have an awesome view of the beach inside the cafe. Nonetheless I went inside and was greeted by friendly staff.
NSW: Supper Lane, Newcastle
When work sends you away to Newcastle, you just have to try and make the most of it hence my eating adventure started again! After landing at night, I walked around the hotel in search of dinner and BAM I had supper lane in my sights. It looked quite busy for a Monday night so I shuffled in and got a table for 1 (cue the violins). The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome at once.
Rice Queen Oriental Diner & Bar, Fitzroy
One of my friend’s were getting married and she wanted to celebrate by having a lovely dinner at Rice Queen. Rice Queen was also a bar and it was vibrant and loud! Yes, it was so loud that I could hardly hear the person next to me. Anywho, we sat down and we were all going to have the Banquet C which costs $44 per person. Since there was just so many food and it was a touch dark so excuse the poor quality of the photos.
The steam pork and prawn dumplings were flavoursome but the skin was a touch on the tough side and was a touch dry.

Curry Vault Indian Restaurant & Bar, Melbourne
The work guys wanted a catch up and since Mr Tequila has never tried Indian food before so of course we flipped through the Entertainment Book and found Curry Vault and made a booking via Dimmi. When we got inside we were shown to our seats. The interior wasn’t as lively or bright as I had remembered and needed a bit more vibrancy to it. Anywho, we got the menu and started ordering to our hearts content.
Marmara Turkish Restaurant, Windsor
Dimmi have been having a lot of flash sales where certain restaurants have discounts such as 50% off food. The girlies at work decided to have a night out and took advantage of this and booked Marmara for some Turkish food. We made a booking at Marmara and when we arrived, we were treated wonderfully. We could definitely tell that we were going to be looked after well.
Bistro Thierry, Toorak
Our mummy and daddy bears were due for a date so we took both sets out for some French food. Luckily for us, Mr D was one step ahead of us and booked in Bistro Thierry in Toorak. Stepping into the eatery, it transports you back to France. All the staff were french and it was very warm and cosy. We sat down and started ordering off the menu since we only had 2hours to eat.
Bangpop, South Wharf
Good ol’ Dimmi were having their flash deals where if you visit participating eateries you’d get 50% off food. So of course Ms Butterfree booked Bangpop because it’s been a place where she’d always wanted to visit AND we got 50% off the food bill. Made a booking via Dimmi and BAM we were in and we were eating.
We arrived and was seated and the staff were friendly but they weren’t all that attentive. We did have to wave them down a few times to get our order which was quite disappointing. Anywho, we ordered our dishes and waited for them to arrive so we can devour them. First up, the moo dad diew which was the air dried pork with sticky rice. We found this to be quite dry and needed a bit more seasoning.

Chiquito & Co, Fitzroy
Burgers, frozen custards and chicken are the specialties at the newly opened eatery Chiquito & Co located in Fitzroy. Were they busy? Yes. Were they welcoming? Definitely yes. Did the place smell amazing? Yes, Yes, YES!
Northern Perk Cafe, Brunswick
Those who are always on facebook will have noticed a certain breakfast tower popping up on their feed which looks like it could feed a town. This breakfast tower was the sole reason why the K sisters chose Northern Perk as our next location for our catch up session. There’s a lot of parking on the side streets and if you get there early, you won’t miss out.
