Baby A has been raving on about Chur Burgers every time we visit him in QLD and when we transit in Sydney on our way home from Vietnam, we saw with our little eyes, a Chur Burger joint sitting by the side inside the airport. So of course, we rushed in to check out this amazing burgers that Baby A keeps talking about.
NSW: Coffee Tea & Me, Marrickville
When my colleague said he was taking me to a quaint coffee shop for some awesome coffee and tea, I was super excited. The name was the cutest I’ve seen – Coffee tea & me. Inside I went and everything in the cafe was so cutie patootie from the chairs to the decor, JUST EVERYTHING.
NSW: Thai Concept, Chipping Norton
Needing a fast lunch before we meet some customers, my work colleague pulled me into Thai Concept for some fast and greasy Thai food. Walking in, we were greeted by friendly smiles and it was a small eatery but enough for a take-away joint. We got seated and put our order through.
NSW: Mustang Spur Steak Ranch, Campbelltown
One of my new workmates that had just started was so ecstatic when we walked past Spurs because it reminded him of back home in South Africa. So of course, we went inside to relive his childhood. It’s a mexican / steak joint that has the same atmosphere as TGI Friday’s, well that’s how I would compare it with. We walked in and was seated and our orders were taken immediately. However, that was where the great experience ended for us.
NSW: Paper Plane Factory, Girraween
When the guys you work with love their coffee and take you to their favourite coffee joint, you can’t say no because, well, who says no to a good cafe joint. He took me to the Paper plane cafe which was located in a factory and it was the hippest (yep, I used that word) thing I’ve seen and I loved it.
NSW: Lil Miss Collins, Parramatta
I always try to wake up super early on work trips so I can venture out and check out the cafe scenes. Luckily for me, there was a cute spot 5 minutes walk from my hotel in Parramatta, Lil Miss Collins. It was a pop up but it was very adorable nonetheless. I walked inside (it was still situated outside though) and the staff were so friendly. I took a seat and BAM I had decided what I wanted.
NSW: Ironwood Coffee Company Cafe Restaurant, Woolwich
Miss Mumma and I were looking for a place to sit and chat whilst sipping on hot drinkies and she suggested Ironwood since they were known for their coffees. It was quite late but we were still invited inside, got seated and was served very quickly which was the way we liked it.
NSW: Woolwich Pier Hotel, Woolwich
I haven’t seen Miss Mumma in so long and when there’s an opportunity to see her, you jump on it. Miss Mumma suggested Woolwich Pier Hotel. We got there on a Tuesday night and it was jam packed. The atmosphere was pumping, lively and very pub-y. Miss Mumma got the fried chicken burger but she found it to be quite dry and was average. The chippies were cold and not crunchy at all and she was quite disappointed with the dish.
Fried Chicken Burger – $21
Lightly pickled cabbage slaw, roasted sesame dressing, fiery mayonnaise, classic american cheese & fries
NSW: Estabar, Newcastle
When you hear that there’s a gelati bar which is also a cafe, you just have to stop by. Located right by the beach with amazing view, I stopped by for some ice cream! The staff were oh so friendly and I felt so welcomed and I just wanted to stay there forever! Unfortunately, I had work so I got the vanilla bean ice cream and my gosh it was perfect!
NSW: Liquid Gold Beach Cafe, Newcastle
I got up early in the morning to roam around the beach to find a place for breakkie before I had to meet my co-workers to start our work day. Walking along I found Liquid Gold Beach Cafe and decided to drop by for something healthy (well, what I’d like to think as healthy anyway). Shame that there were constructions going on and I couldn’t have an awesome view of the beach inside the cafe. Nonetheless I went inside and was greeted by friendly staff.
