We were doing adult things and were house hunting which means there were hour long gaps in between each house. Mr D suggested (yes, he did and not me) to have brunch (YAY!! BRUNCH TIME!) and we found Two Brothers Mitcham.
We entered the cafe and luckily for us, we managed to get a table. The staff were super friendly and the vibe of the cafe was just hip and happening (Yep, I just used the daggy dad phrase) where you can hear laughter, chit-chatting and coffees being made. Mr D got a latte and it was pretty damn good. I got the chai latte and I was a bit disappointed with it. Now, it has been an early morning and I needed a sugar hit so I decided to get the fluffy pancakes with rhubarb and lemon curd and vanilla ice cream. When they say fluffy, they mean the pancakes were fluffy as clouds. The rhubarb and lemon gave it a hint of zing-iness to it but pairing it with the vanilla ice cream, it was very balanced. I really liked the pancakes, although I wasn’t able to finish it since it was GINORMOUS.

Mr D opted for the usual breakfast and got the dench thick multigrain slice toast with scrambled eggs and otway bacon on the side. He ABSOLUTELY loved it. He did have to season it with salt and pepper but that didn’t bother him. The bacon wasn’t super crispy which I really liked (I like them bacon soft YO!) and I found the egg to be a bit bland so I can understand why Mr D salt and peppered it.

The staff were oh so lovely, the food was pretty good and the environment was AWESOME. This cafe is a lovely hidden gem and I would definitely be back to try out other dishes on their menu.
