Exploring the eateries around work, we found another place to hit up, The Rogue Squire. A booking was made and a entered we go. The Rogue Squire is a brewhouse that offers, you got it, beer, beer and beer. BUT, we’re not here for the beer, we’re here for the food. Walking in, we pass through the downstairs pub area, take the stairs and we entered the eating area.
Ms Curly Fries got the fish and chips and the chippies were crunchy and well seasoned. The batter on the fish was way too thick but the fish on the inside was totes delish!
Squires Fish & Chips – $22
Battered in Swindler Ale, salt & vinegar seasoning, dressed leaves, lemon, tartare
I got the Rogue Cheeseburger and the beef patty was perfectly cooked, juicy and oh so much flavour. The buns were quite dry and the burger itself needed more sauce. The chippies though were crunchy and delish!
The Rouge Cheeseburger – $18
Beef patty, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato with french fries
The Rogue Squire is a great lace to catch up over a drinkie and if you’re peckish, the food is pretty decent. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere and a great place if you’re a local.
