New job meant new places to eat and we made a booking at Madeline’s at Jells which is located right inside Jells Park by the lake. It’s a very cosy venue and the staff were quite friendly. We were shown to our table and BAM we started ordering because, well, everyone was super duper hungry.
To start off I got a dirty chai and it wasn’t very strong in chai which was a touch disappointing. It was super smooth and creamy though but definitely didn’t give me the caffeine / chai hit.

The pulled pork with coleslaw, pickles in a beetroot bun definitely caught my eye on the menu and was super excited when I heard it coming to the table (yep, you can hear food!). Unfortunately, the bun was super duper dry and hard, the pulled pork was a touch hard but the coleslaw did give it a ZING. The chippies needed more seasoning and unfortunately wasn’t crunchy at all which was quite disappointing.

I really wanted to like Madeline’s and unfortunately I wouldn’t be coming back for the food, perhaps for a walk around the lake instead.
