Richmond is known for all their restaurants and good food and on the main street sits Minh Minh Saigon Soul. Opened for such a long time and
The sexy quail is cooked in butter, garlic and spring onions and the flavour was awesome sauce. However, it was quite dry which was a shame.
Sexy Quail – $10
If you’ve ever been to Lunar New Year Festivals you might have seen bo la lot (Vietnamese beef wrapped in betal leaves). These bad boys are TOTES AMAZEBALLS and they’re bursting with flavour. There’s already fish sauce drizzled on top and holy moly it was heaven in my mouth!
La Lot (7pc) – $12
Those who love mint, lime and beef and want to feel a touch healthy, the beef salad is your best bet. However, it is super spicy, super sour and super minty. The flavours were a touch too intense for my liking but that beef was cooked perfectly.
Lab Nua – $16
Grilled beef mixed in lime juice, mint, shallot & hot chilli
Chicken lovers, the crazy chicken ribs with TomYum sauce was effing gorgeous. It was a touch sweet, a touch sour and a touch awesome! We couldn’t get enough of it.
Crazy Chicken Ribs – $18
Chicken ribs with TomYum sauce with fresh coleslaw
A dish that mumsy bear makes at home regularly is the steamed barramundi with ginger, garlic and chinese broccoli. When this came out, it smelt divine. The fish fell apart in my mouth but the sauce needed a touch more flavour.
Week to Week – $23
Steamed barramundi fillet with ginger, garlic, onion, chinese broccoli
Minh Minh Saigon Soul is serving awesome food that’s comforting, delish and definitely reminds me of mumsy bear’s home. Located in the heart of Richmond’s eating street, it’s definitely a place I’ll come back to.
