Monkey’s corner has opened a pop up store in conjunction with Koi dessert bar at Hwkr food centre and yes, they are owned by the Poernomo brothers. First up, the pork belly bao. The pork belly was juicy and the bao was quite soft and fluffy. Approved from the triplets.

Pork Belly Bao – $12

We also got the ox tongue to share and this was very zesty and a touch salty. It wasn’t my cup of tea but the other girlies liked it.

Ox Tongue – $15

The dishes served are quite good such as the pork belly and if you get a touch queasy when you hear ox tongue, maybe skip that dish and try something else. It is quite pricey and I’ll probably check out the rest of the hwkr food centre before I return to Monkey’s Corner.
