Caught up with Mr Burberry for dinner at Dumplings Plus at Highpoint since we couldn’t figure out where to go. It was cheap, quick and the wait staff were friendly enough. We got a table for two and got ourselves so much food!! First up, steamed Shanghai Pork Dumplings (or as we all know…XIAO LONG BAOOOOO!!!). They were GINORMOUS!! It was juicy and quenched my xiao long bao thirst!

We also got the wontons in hot chilli sauce (Yep, Mr Burberry’s choice) and it was pretty good but so spicy (for me anyway)!! I had to down my water like no tomorrow. Should have realised when on the menu it showed two chilli pictures next to the dish…(duh!!).

We also got noodle dishes for ourselves…since we were getting our food on! Before they came out, the manager asked if we wanted a bigger table seeing as our table was getting filled up (do two people not order this much food generally???). We liked the coziness and declined the offer. I got the roasted duck with Udon noodles (Mr Burberry did the ordering…). I found it to be pretty decent. Large portions and the amount of duck wasn’t too shabby either.

Mr Burberry got himself the braised pork belly noodle soup and this too was pretty average. I’m not a fan of pork belly (too much porkiness in my belly already…) but he liked it enough for the price.

Come here for quick, cheap dumplings but don’t expect anything outstanding. There was a ‘sauce station’ where there was water as well and it’s all self served. Wait staff were pretty attentive and weren’t pushy at all. I’d probably come back if I’m craving dumplings at night and can’t be bothered travelling into the city.
