Le Clec, Hawthorn

Hawthorn, home to the hustle and bustle of shops and heaps of cafes in the area, Le Clec sits nestled away. It looks super small but there’s a huge courtyard at the back with more seating with french inspired brunch dishes on for show, I could not wait to check out their new menu.

The Albion Rooftop, South Melbourne

If many of you have been loving the South Melbourne area then you would know the story about The Motel where that nightclub had a fire 2 years ago. But two years later, a name and a venue renovation turned The Motel into The Albion. The Albion is now a lifestyle venue which can cater corporate functions and has a rooftop licence till 5 in the morning. Anywho, I was lucky enough to check out the venue before the official opening date and to check out their food (WOOHOO!).

Yokocho, Melbourne

There’s a new Japanese eatery in town right in the middle of the CBD and looks over Bourke Street called Yokocho which wants to take diners away from the hustle and bustle of the city and into the “alleyways” which Japanese hard-working citizens seek refuge in a quiet eatery. Yokocho is a little bit hidden away where you need to go up the escalators in the Mid City Arcade. Yokocho isn’t quiet at all and buzzing with noise so you’ll definitely hear it whilst going up the escalators. Going through the doors, you can walk straight through to the rooftop and boy, was it perfect weather for some cocktails.

When I hear Italian food I immediately think of pizzas, pastas, comfort food and basically awesome sauce food. So when I heard about 48h Pizza and Gnocchi Bar has opened in Elsternwick, I was oh so pumped to check them out. Royal Stacks made their entrance at Chadstone right in the heart of the food court and you’ll know where they are because there’s always a huge queue in front of it. The store has the same feeling and decoration as all the other stores which is always a plus and makes you feel like royalty.

Italian Chef, South Yarra

 image

South Yarra, the place where you go to shop, eat, drink and just wander around. Located smack bang in the heart of South Yarra lies a modern yet authentic Italian eatery that isn’t flash or in yo face. Italian Chef has been opened for approximately 3 years and it gets quite full so you’ll definitely need to make a booking if you want to try out this Italian eatery. We were welcomed in by the staff and was seated in the middle of the eatery. We got the drinkie which was quite popular and included negronii in a spritz and it was fresh and not too alcoholic tasting if you were not a fan of the good ol’ alcohol taste.
