Ms Curly Fries kept going on and on about Daniel’s Donuts which were opened 24 hours and always have a massive queue no matter what time of the day or night you go. So when an opportunity to eat at Springvale came around, she quickly took us to Daniel’s Donuts. It’s located right next to Coles so you can even do your grocery shopping prior (I have no idea how that was relevant…anywho…). We got there at 9PM on a Monday night and damn, there was a massive line. The good thing is that the line goes really quick so you better know what you’re ordering.
Double D, Springvale
Mr Italian Stallion was leaving for Singapore for two years which meant obligatory burgers were to be eaten before he leaves. On a Monday night we were meant to be at Cultural Commons in Springvale, unfortunately, they were closed so Ms Curly Fries suggested Double D which was 500 m away and across Springvale Station (YAY for convenience to public transport!). We stumbled in and it wasn’t as busy as we thought and checked out the menu which wasn’t as long as I thought it would be.
Rocco’s Burger Cafe, Croydon
Since we’re finally moving in, we decided to check out the local eats and I’ve been eyeing Rocco’s Burger Cafe every time we drove past and FINALLY we had the opportunity to casually drop by to stuff our faces. It was quite busy when we went at lunch time but when we stepped into the cafe, we were greeted by smiling staff (even though they were super duper busy). You can definitely tell that it’s a family-owned cafe because they pay extra attention to you and they had a different kind of friendliness to them.
Top Bun, Croydon
Mr D has been home alone lately and we needed to go do his weekly groceries. Of course we were hungry (when are we not?) and lucky for us, there was a burger joint right next to coles (coinkidink? I think not!). Top Bun, with a name like this, we must determine how top these buns were.
Two Brothers Mitcham, Mitcham
We were doing adult things and were house hunting which means there were hour long gaps in between each house. Mr D suggested (yes, he did and not me) to have brunch (YAY!! BRUNCH TIME!) and we found Two Brothers Mitcham.
