Whilst walking around Camberwell looking for a quick feed we stumbled upon Miss Korea Kitchen and I’m a sucker for Korean food (thank you Mr D for introducing kimchi into my life) so we plopped our booties down and flicked through the menu. The staff greeted us with massive smiles on their faces and it had such a casual ambiance.
I’ve just recently started to love tteokbokki which is a stir fried korean rice cakes and yes, it’s spicy. This was absolutely delish. The rice cakes were squishy on the inside and a bit of a crunch on the outside. However, there needed to be a touch more beef and fish cakes though.
Tteokbokki – $23
Stir-fried Korean rice cakes served with beef, sweet potato noodles and fish cakes in a hot and spicy red chili paste sauce
I’m a massive fan of kimchi korean pancake and when it came out, I did not expect to see so many things in them – zucchini, mushrooms and capsicum just to name a few. It had a nice kick to it due to kimchi, it was crunchy, had a nice flavour to it and not a sight of dryness at all.
Kimchi Korean Pancake – $19
Miss Korea serves great snack foods and I will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu.
