A date with the girlies and we decided to check out Musashi (yes, one of the girls thought we were having protein shakes for dinner) which was opposite to the never ending queue for Hakata Gensuke. There wasn’t a line for Musashi and when we walked in we were greeted loudly by the staff and the decor was fabulous! Made me feel like I was back in Japan. You could even pop your bags in your seat / stool which I thought was quite clever.
To start off the night I got a mocktail which I forgot what the name was but it basically had Yuzu (I LOOOOOVE YUZU!!) with a hell lot of mints. Kinda like a mojito, but better!
I got the white Hakata Tonkotsu which comes with braised pork belly, half egg, spring onions (which I asked for them to not add it in) and fungus! The broth was so flavoursome and makes me oh so warm like I was being hugged. The portion size was GINORMOUS and I absolutely loved this dish!
White Hakata Tonkotsu – $12.80
I will definitely be back and will be taking Mr D with me so we can reminisce about Japan over some amazing ramen!
