Whilst in Croydon hanging out, I was getting a bit peckish so we wandered around until I laid my eyes on a burger joint – The Local Burger Co. Mr D could not refuse a burger eatery so we marched our way in. It’s really cosy inside and if it’s full, there’s always outdoor seating too.
The specials and drinkies are written on the brown paper on the side of the eatery so you may want to walk over and take a looksie!
I got the beef, bacon and cheese and was told that all beef patties were cooked medium rare which was A-OK by me (that’s the way I love my beef!). When it came out, boy was it GINORMOUS! The beef patty was super tender, the cheddar was all gooey and melted and the bacon was super crispy which didn’t really tickle my fancy. I did find the burger to be a tad dry and a bit more sauce was needed and the bun was a tad hard as well. Overall, awesome beef patty and beautifully presented.
Beef, Bacon and Cheese – $14.50
Mr D was only craving fries so when I saw canadian poutine fries which includes gravy and cheese. Who could resist cheese? Surely not me! These chippies were crispy and oh so YUMMO! The gravy was a tad salty and the cheese, let it melt a little bit and it was HEAVEN!!
Canadian Poutine Fries – $8
The staff were super friendly and helpful and you could come here with mates, family, kids or even solo and no one will bother you while you chow down your burger. I will definitely come back and check out the onion rings and maybe go for my usual cheese burger – old school cheese.
