After a looooooong day of playing with Mr D’s nephews and niece, we dropped by a local Vietnamese eatery.
We dropped by Pho Minh Long and it was quite buzzing already but luckily we managed to get a table and started to order. Before we even ordered, there was a complimentary plate of oranges (how fantastical was that!).
Of course I got my beloved durian smoothie but once it came out, I was super disappointed. It was the whitest durian smoothie in my life. There wasn’t an ounce of durian in it at all. Why bother serving a durian smoothie if you don’t put in any at all. It was an overpriced drink.
Durian Smoothie – $7
Mr D got the Vietnamese Ice Coffee (Ca Phe Sua Da) and it came out in the drip which was AWESOME! Rarely do places ever serve them like this any more. Mr D was LOVING IT!
Ca Phe Sua Da – $3
I got the combination crispy egg noodles (Minh Long Special Noodles) to share with Mr D because we LOVE to SHARE! This was quite good. The sauce was full of flavours but they skimped on the meat and toppings which was a shame. The noodles were cooked with great crispiness and we devoured it.
Combination Crispy Egg Noodles – $12
This is a very hit and miss place. The service wasn’t great, the staff weren’t friendly at all, the food was just average and there was NO DURIAN IN MY SMOOTHIE! Having the luxury of mumsy bear cooking vietnamese food at home and my local eateries are all vietnamese ones, there are plenty of places to get your vietnamese fix.
